MEXICO LINDO is in it's 15th year of publication. Founded by Dave and Haydee Anderson, MEXICO LINDO was created to help teach new Hispanic immigrants in the Hall County area about their new community.

Haydee is originally from Lima, Peru, where she received the U.S.
equivalent of a technical education in preparation to become a
bilingual secretary. She then continued on to Pacific University
in Lima. Haydee feels her real education began when she came to
the US and believes she continues to learn everyday.
Haydee first came to Gainesville in 1976. Since that time she has been deeply
involved in the Hall County Community. She has taught Communicative Spanish
for 20 years at Gainesville College as part of the Continuing Education Department.
She translates for the Hall County Court System and has served as the foreman
of the Grand Jury. She has served on the Board of Directors for Lanier Technical
College for 11 years now and now it's active with the LTC Foundation. Haydee
also works on the board for the Gainesville/Hall County Boys & Girls Club
and as a member of the Gainesville College Foundation. She became a member of
the Gainesville Rotary Club in 2000 and has been named one of the five Outstanding
Women in Hall County. All this and she publishes a weekly newspaper.
Dave Anderson, Editor/Writer
Dave has been a Hall County resident since 1973. He graduated from Piedmont
College in Demorest, GA, with a degree in Chemistry and continued on from there
to Columbia Seminary where he earned a MDiv (Masters in Divinity). He has also
coached and taught high school and is a C.L.U. Dave's true calling is writing.
It is easy to see that it is his passion when you read his weekly column under
the byline of El Gringote, an affectionate nickname given him by the Mexicans.
Dave is an avid sports watcher, which makes covering the local soccer tournaments
easy work and fun play. Dave has been a member of the Gainesville Rotary Club
since 1976.
